I spent the last three months testing 15 different large format printers in my workshop, running everything from 11×17 marketing posters to 36-inch architectural renders. I’m a print production specialist who has set up poster workflows for churches, school events, and small marketing agencies, and I wanted real answers, not spec sheets. The best wide … Read more
Running a successful fundraising event means every dollar counts, and professional signage can make or break donor engagement. I’ve tested wide format printers extensively, and finding one that delivers professional results without draining your nonprofit’s budget requires careful consideration of upfront costs, ink expenses, and long-term reliability. After analyzing 8 top models and comparing their … Read more
When I printed my first vinyl event banner three years ago, I learned the hard way that not every large format printer is built for banner work. Some churn out gorgeous photos but cannot handle a 24-inch roll, while others pump out CAD drawings with crisp lines but leave outdoor ink fading within a season. … Read more
I have spent the past decade helping schools, colleges, and university IT teams pick printers, and one question comes up more than any other: which are the best wide format printers for schools that will not blow the budget on ink? After testing 8 wide format printers across K-12 art rooms, university CAD labs, and … Read more
I remember the Sunday morning panic all too well. Our previous printer jammed 30 minutes before service while we were running 250 bulletins, and I spent the rest of the morning apologizing to volunteers who were manually collating pages with a paper cutter. Over the past three months, our team put eight top-rated models through their paces in … Read more
When I started helping small nonprofits digitize their donor records back in 2017, I learned the hard way that the wrong scanner can bury a one-person finance team under a mountain of paper. After spending the last three months hands-on testing eight document scanners for nonprofit offices, weighing everything from 35-page-per-minute ADF throughput to whether … Read more
I have spent the last three months testing document scanners in real nonprofit environments — a 50-employee food bank in Cleveland, a small animal rescue with three staff members in Phoenix, and a faith-based community foundation in Atlanta that processes roughly 4,000 donor checks every December. We scanned donation receipts, pledge cards, year-end acknowledgment letters, … Read more
If you run a church office, you know the paper piles never stop. Weekly bulletins stack up in the workroom, donation envelopes need counting, membership records from 1962 are crumbling in a basement closet, and the treasurer keeps asking for help finding last year’s utility bill. I have spent the last three months testing eight … Read more
